In October 2021, Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was arrested for an alleged drugs-on-cruise case. The accusations made against him included possession and consumption of drugs – offences that fall under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. On October 30th, Aryan walked out of jail on bail and since then, he has been under a few restrictions and the investigation is ongoing.
However, according to a recent report by Hindustan Times, the NCB’s Special Investigation Team (SIT) has claimed that there is “no evidence” against Aryan Khan that proves he was part of a “larger drugs conspiracy or an international drugs trafficking syndicate”. SIT also added that there were “several irregularities” in the raid on the Cordelia cruise during which he was arrested.

According to TOI, here are the key findings on the case that the SIT shared:
1. Aryan Khan was “never in possession” of drugs. Therefore, there was no need to take his phone and check his chats.
2. The chats “do not suggest” that Aryan was part of any international syndicate.
3. There is no video recording of the raid, which is mandatory as per the NCB manual.
4. The drugs recovered from multiple accused arrested in the case was shown as “single recovery”.
People online had very strong reactions to the news and many demanded an apology from the NCB and news channels that accused Aryan Khan of being a drug addict.
Now govt should suspend #SamirWankhede and give compensation to #AryanKhan for 28 days torture. Nobody should be allowed to torture anyone with fake cases. pic.twitter.com/D3SR07bfWK

So any apologies for the vilification and defamation that passed off as 'news' at the time? Another shocking episode that raises serious questions about agencies like the NCB and how they are used against certain citizens. #SRK #AryanKhan https://t.co/bzqEef9alf

So what will happen to Sameer Wankhede?! How will anyone in NCB now justify and compensate Aryan Khan for torturing him mentally?
And who will seek answers from media for maligning the image of a young boy? #AryanKhan https://t.co/1sBdff0hUf— Purva Chitnis (@ChitnisPurva) March 2, 2022
The bigots and the fools who tried defaming #AryanKhan stand exposed.
This is a punch on their ugly faces.
Truth is out.
This, too, was just a hate propaganda.
We won @iamsrk https://t.co/ZkTrsQjDC3— Sayema (@_sayema) March 2, 2022
It’s not just #AryanKhan.
There are lakhs of people across the country who are locked up on flimsy charges and no real evidence.
This injustice must end.
For that to happen, there should also be consequences for officials involved. https://t.co/dKBSAuYrQp— Vikram Chandra (@vikramchandra) March 2, 2022
Here is the truth and the truth is told by none other than the #NCB's SIT.
So what Mr. #NawabMalik said, that the #AryanKhan case was fake, holds true.
Kudos @neerajwriting for reporting this. https://t.co/ejorjwUbv6— Clyde Crasto – क्लाईड क्रास्टो (@Clyde_Crasto) March 2, 2022
Let's see how many prime time news channels report this the way they did when he was kept in jail for one month without any proof. I'm sure the media will show no energy reporting this.
Anyways, we always stand by you and your family @iamsrk https://t.co/xM87Srcy1L— 𝐀𝐲𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐚 (@srkxdepp) March 2, 2022
May the truth prevail, always.
