Since winning the Miss World contest in 2000, Priyanka Chopra has become a superstar of Bollywood, wrote his own column in the Hindustan Times, hosted a reality show and more recently, he recorded an album.
Now, the fashion icon 30 year-old has set his sights on America. His single "Exotic" produced with rapper Pitbull (who appears on the track) will be released on July 1 along with a video recently filmed in South Beach, Florida will be the first single released widely in the U.S., a second coming later this summer.
Ms. Chopra said he recorded "exotic" in South Beach infused with a little heat. "The song is called 'exotic', so I wanted to keep that," he said. "It's very danceable, and in India, that's what we do in all our films, so it definitely has an Indian Flavor."
Photographer Josh Ritchie, on a mission to the Wall Street Journal, visited the set last month to capture the making of the video.
